Abdellah is a bookseller in Rabat, Morocco.
A rare job today… I was lucky to meet him in his beautiful shop, surrounded by thousands of books and his lovely cat. He is a real man of culture who has read thousands of books, and what made our meeting even more special is that he comes from Tanalt, the same village as my father!
His shop reminded me to slow down, touch the pages and enjoy the smell of paper. In a world where everything is digital and consumed so quickly, books still give us a different kind of time.

Meeting Aya in Rabat left me speechless. Her words stayed with me because I know that feeling. I’ve also been through a period of insecurity, feeling lost between what the people around me expected me to do and the path my instincts were asking me to follow. Aya dreams of travelling and learning Spanish, paints in her free time, and has a rare combination of intelligence, gentleness and depth. There was something very honest about the way she spoke, and meeting her reminded me that choosing your own path can be difficult, but it is often the most important thing you can do.

Casablanca, Morocco
“My Dream ? A simple life, close to God and surrounded by the people I love“
I met Imrane in a market in Casablanca, where he sells clementines and bananas.
His pure kindness and down-to-earth nature made our encounter truly special. He dreams of renovating his home, building a stable life with decent living standards, and staying close to God with his family around him. Nothing about his dreams felt excessive… just the wish to live with dignity, peace and the people he loves.
Listening to him reminded me that a meaningful life is not always about having more, but about having enough, feeling grateful and being surrounded by the right people.
Abdullah
Agadir, Morocco

Abdullah is a street cleaner in Agadir. Every day, he cleans the city’s streets and corniche with kindness and dedication.
His dream is simple: to get married, start a family, own his own home and live a peaceful life close to God, surrounded by the people he loves.
His words stayed with me because they say something important: everyone has a place in society, and we cannot all be princes. Some jobs may seem ordinary, but they are essential and deserve respect.
He also reminded people across Morocco that keeping the streets clean is a shared responsibility. Morocco has made real progress in recent years, but every piece of rubbish put in a bin is one less thing for someone like Abdullah to pick up.
